I do find that certain software can make the fans work harder than with others, the worst offender is Silkypix RFC from Fuji, within a few seconds on opening a file the fans are cranked up and don't stop. It is almost impossible to use the Finder Quick Look on any RAW file as it takes several seconds to render and even just with the JPegs it can take a second or so. I have an X-T2 that I shoot standard RAW+JPeg and I use a mid-2015 MBP Retina 15.4" (16GB RAM, 2.2GHz core i7 with Integrated Graphics) - maybe not ideal due to the IG and I find it struggles with many photo operations. #2 Normal should be faster than compressed. Are you generating any previews on import? If you use embedded+sidecar () The time spent upfront should be recovered quite quickly in editing speed.

Consider generating smart previews after import. Maybe disable GPU in Preferences and restart? Anyone have any experience with Microsoft surface pro tablet/laptop systems and editing XT-2 files? I'm not necessarily bound to Mac, and I like the smaller form and tablet/touch idea of the surface pro's. Anyone have any ideas, if I want my lightroom workflow with XT-2 files to be fast en easy, what should be the minimum specs of the machine I use?Ĥ. I'm still shooting normal, but anyone know if compressed RAW files are easier/faster when processing in lightroom?ģ. I've read some discussions on the internet about compressed vs. Are there others here that use as similar device (or with similar specs) and lightroom, and do you have the same problem? I'm assuming you have already looked at the more obvious stuff like White Balance assessment and so on? If you are able and willing to share a file there are usually a number of people around who would be willing to take a quick look at it to ascertain whether their installation shows the same effect. If no one else pops up to say they have see the same effect and have found the cause and resolved it I would suggest that you create a Support Case and get some informed help from the Support Team. I would think that if this was a generic problem there would be a lot of Fuji users here complaining about it whereas from most Fuji related comments the opposite seems to be true - especially now that compressed RAW is supported. C1 looked horrible and the other two looked fine.

I downloaded a free trial of Picktorial today and did a side by side comparison of C1, LR and Picktorial. It seems its only with the Fujifilm Raw files. I also imported some JPG files and they maintained their color perfectly. I imported raw files from a canon 5D Mark II with no problems. Changing the profile to linear and increasing the saturation still had the same effect.
